Bots help you clear alarm scans, and checkpoints preserve some of your progress, meaning you don't need to worry about doing the entire level again if you fail, saving you time on attempts. TL DR - Rundown 6 is so much better for solo compared to previous Rundowns. It's still very different to have actual human players, but for the most part, if you have a good grasp of the stealth fundamentals and learn how to manipulate the bots, solo becomes so much more manageable. Honestly, with the addition of bots and checkpoints, really good. They may say it's out of early access but they're still testing a ton of new features that definitely aren't finished and need more time and polish which they hopefully will get in a few Rundowns. If you want my personal opinion on whether you should get the game I'd say wait. I'd personally recommend avoiding matchmaking and going to their discord server, there are LFG channels in there and it's generally more active and friendly than matchmaking is. The game doesn't show you how much ping you have but trust me you can tell when you're playing on high ping. As someone who plays from Australia I sometimes can never find players or get matched in lobbies with quite high ping. Matchmaking isn't great at the moment, you can't kick players from my knowledge and depending on your region you can find players in a few minutes, or maybe never. You can definitely play some of the earlier levels like A and B tier in the current Rundown (Rundown 6) with bots but if you go to C or deeper you'll definitely start to see some of their flaws. They are good if you're playing with 2 others and need a bot to hold some resources or use a tool for you (Though sometimes they break and can't use their tools and things like sentries just place facing straight down meaning it can't see or shoot anything or they just straight up won't place it). Alright so take my post with a grain of salt since I haven't messed around enough with bots.įrom my minimal experience playing with bots they do not replace teammates.
